SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH
On March 14, 2005 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and the Danish Family Planning Association held the conference "Status, Challenges and Recommendations for the Strengthening of the ICPD Goals".
More than 100 representatives from international and national organisations, NGOs, networks and other development agencies participated in the conference, which was opened by the Danish Minister for Development Cooperation, Ulla Tørnæs.
Beside the Minister speeches were held by Dr. Steven Sinding, International Planned Parenthood Federation, Dr. Fred Sai, Ghana and Dr. Elizabeth Lule, the Worldbank in the first session of the conference. The second session consisted of four different workshops under the following themes: HIV/AIDS & SRHR, Reproductive Rights - Gender Equality, Maternal Mortality, Abortion & Contraception and Youth.
