Denmark
has been a commercial and sea-faring nation since the Viking age. We
still do a lot of trade today, and one of the largest shipping companies
in the world, Maersk Sealand, is Danish. And Denmark is well known for
our bacon and our butter
But as you can see from the first diagram, we also export many other things. We sell quite a bit of oil, furniture and electronic parts for for example cell phones.
In addition to this we export a lot of good cheese, plenty of fish and lots of potted plants - and of course beer and lego bricks. And if you spot a windmill somewhere in the world, it's possibly Danish. Denmark is among the richest countries in the world.
